Teenage girls who consume a lot of fruit may lower their risk of contracting breast cancer in the future, according to a new study of 90,000 women from Harvard University. Specifically, three daily servings of fruits like apples, bananas and grapes during adolescence was strongly associated with a 25 percent drop in breast cancer risk by middle age, compared with consuming just a half-serving per day.
