Embarrassing Menstrual Moment Stories Wanted
Has menstruation ever caused you embarrassment? If so, you are not alone. Almost every woman experiences at least one embarrassing menstrual moment over the course of her menstruating years. Did you ever find a spot of blood on your clothes during your period? Did you ever worry that your tampon or pad was not containing your menstrual flow? Let our readers know that they are not alone by sharing the story of your most embarrassing menstrual moment.

Readers Share First Period Stories
I asked you to share your first period stories a few weeks ago, and many of you have shared your stories. Read these first period stories, and if you haven't already shared your story share it now!

Pain Between Periods
Have you ever experienced severe midcycle pain? Does pain and cramping seem to occur during ovulation? What you are experiencing may be Mittelschmerz. Mittelschmerz is a German word which translated literally means "middle pain." Other words you may hear include: ovulation pain, midcycle pain, menstrual, middle pain, or cramps.

Pelvic Pain 101
Sooner or later, as women, most of us experience some degree of pelvic pain. How we respond to pelvic pain varies; some women are more bothered by pain than others. If pelvic pain is severe enough to disrupt your daily life for either a few days a month or for longer amounts of time, if pelvic pain increases overtime, or if you have experienced a recent increase in pain, you should talk with your health care provider to determine the cause.

From Tracee Cornforth, your Guide to Women's Health

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
Pelvic inflammatory disease affects millions of women each year in the United States and is an infection of one or more pelvic organs, including the uterus, cervix, and fallopian tubes.

Endometriosis
A number of theories have been advanced, but no single theory explains all cases of endometriosis. For example, the most popular theory is called the Retrograde Menstruation Theory (promoted by Dr. John Sampson in the 1920's). He surmised that menstrual tissue flows backwards through the fallopian tubes and deposits on the pelvic organs where it seeds and grows. Later, researchers found that most women have retrograde flow.

Uterine Fibroid Tumors
Uterine fibroid tumors are almost always benign. These benign (non-cancerous) tumors are found in most cases, in the uterus of women in their 30's and 40's.

Ovarian Cysts
Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs, similar to blisters, that are common among women during their reproductive years. They form on the ovaries, the almond-sized organs on each side of the uterus. Most types of ovarian cysts are harmless and go away without any treatment.
