| | The Equity Issue | | We've spent a lot of time in the last two years talking about the mental health crisis that grew out of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the collective nature of these conversations inspires the idea that we're all in this together, the fact remains that when it comes to accessing and providing quality mental healthcare, there are still major gaps in treatment. | That's why our second digital issue—The Equity Issue—is focused on BIPOC communities that are historically less likely to receive adequate care for their health concerns. If we're in the midst of a revolution in mental health awareness, we want to be sure that everyone's story has a chance to be heard. Our cover star, Charlamagne Tha God, has been talking about his mental health for years, and is eager to help others in any way he can.
Through his organization, the Mental Wealth Alliance, and his massive platform as a radio host, TV personality, and author, he's putting the topic of equity in mental health under a national spotlight.
