News: Diet Pepsi Losing its Controversial Sweetener, Diet Coke Keeping It
After sales of Diet Pepsi and Diet Coke fell by more than 5 percent last year, PepsiCo is removing the controversial artificial sweetener aspartame from their product and replacing it with sucralose, the main ingredient in Splenda. The move is begging two important questions: Is aspartame actually dangerous, and is sucralose really a better choice?
