Sure, you could pay a couple hundred bucks for a facial, laser treatment, or high-end cream. But you could also follow the lead of influencers, slather your face in Vaseline, and call it a night.   Allow me to explain. "Slugging" is a skin care trend that involves slathering a layer of occlusive ointment, like Vaseline or Aquaphor, over facial moisturizer before bedtime. The oily top layer "locks in" moisture so that it can more deeply penetrate the skin while you sleep.   Dermatologists say slugging can help dry, damaged skin heal. But the process is a messy one.
