| Because burnout can happen slowly, we may not realize we're heading that way or that we've arrived. Here are some common signs of burnout: - Purposeful alienation from friends, family, and loved ones

- Physical issues such as headaches, muscle stiffness, and stomach aches
- Easily irritated
- Reduced performance at work, home, or elsewhere
| The first step in working through burnout is acknowledging that you're mentally, emotionally, and/or physically exhausted. From there, it's important to remove unnecessary commitments from your plate and be clear with others about how much you can handle right now. It's also important to prioritize your wellbeing from the inside out by eating well, exercising, and investing in mental health practices such as meditation, yoga, and self-care.
